I Fall in Love with Pulau Harapan (again)

Finally!! Yess, finally I could manage have a vacation with my Groot out of Jakarta! We usually spend weekend time by hanging out such as going to cinema, karaoke, dinner out, swimming, or visiting some exhibition held around Jakarta. Yesterday (noted, Feb 21st – 22nd) we had a beach vacation at Kepulauan Seribu, Jakarta! As its name, there are many islands in Kepulauan Seribu. We decided to stay in Harapan Island, meanwhile we did island hopping around the small island near to Harapan.

We were very blessed on those days since weather was fortunately so lovely; bright blue sky with some cottons clouds, not too windy then wave was friendly. We felt so because Jakarta not only had a heavy rain the day before but some area still got flood also, we almost cancelled the plan because of that. Oh ya, another luckiness we got is the passenger of the ship we took was not crowded.

The first photo when safely departured in Harapan Island!

As usual the activities during island trip is island hoping and go snorkeling! But I prefer doing relax swimming to snorkeling. Talking about snorkeling, In Harapan (and other island in Kepulauan Seribu) we can not meet colorful fishes and reef easily just like in Kariumnajawa. However, the water is as crystal as in Karimunjawa. The blue and turquoise are similiar. So, tt is perfect lah to take some photos then upload to your online social media.

The unique thing I love most in Harapan is we can see there are many small islands surrounding Harapan. Some of those are private island of the Richie Jakartans that we cant visit without permit. Others are private resort which is expensive enough (for me) compared with beach villas in Bali. Nah, on the yesterday trip we were lucky enough because our guide toke us secretly to one of that resort. pssstt.. do not tell anyone!

When going travel I like to get #antimainstream. I love to explore hidden places and do activities differently. In Harapan my friends and I toke a walk to Kelapa Island which is located next to Harapan. There are some mangrove plants beside road to Kelapa Island which is nice enough as background to take photos.

I have already visited some island in Kepulaun Seribu and yesterday was my second visit to the island. For me Pulau Harapan offers much better activities and scenery than Pulau Payung, Pari, and Tidung. The downside is just the distance that is farther than those three island.

Well, that's all my story. I have no idea to tell more about yesterday trip to Harapan. There are three words describe it; lucky, fun, and beautiful. Here is below sunset photo I happened to catch after island hopping.

Oh ya, here is the Pulau Harapan seen from above. Just like maldive, rite?

If you need short fun getaway, decide to visit Pulau Harapan! It is worth it!.

Warm Regards,
Ian
